East Texas native David Dolo Dollaz Thomas has emerged as one of the most electrifying-upcoming artists from the unfamiliar region of Texas. Like many, Dolo’s family has a history of drugs, violence, and poverty; however, with the aid of music he is consistently striving for success proving that hardships can be overcome with faith, hard work, and determination.
As a kid, he started out doing amateur performances mimicking superstars like MC Hammer and Michael Jackson realizing he loved to be in front of a crowd. During his early teens Dolo Dollaz was influenced by rappers UGK, OutKast, Scarface, Bone Thugs, DMX, and Jay-Z, Donny Hathaway, and many more great writers of the past and present. Following High School graduation, Dolo Dollaz moved from the small town of Mount Pleasant to Dallas, TX in pursuit of better opportunities.
After catching the attention of upcoming producer Tray Knox of Woodknock Production, he later received the name “Dolo” after a punch line uttered in a freestyle verse. Accompanied by his business partner Jerome Evans, the two founded Big Cash Entertainment in 2010. Dolo Dollaz is now set to release a new single, “Represent For Me,” that has been gaining a buzz on the internet. Download the single on iTunes.
With the determination of becoming the next independent power house record label, Big Cash Entertainment co-founded by Dolo Dollaz and his Business Partner Jerome Evans, will now distribute Dolo’s music through online stores all around the world like iTunes, Amazon.com MP3, Google Play, Beatsmusic, Spotify, Rhapsody, and Target Music.
